111-room, all-suite hotel expands Onvo’s hospitality footprint and brings new energy to Northeast Pennsylvania

Pottsville, PA (November 13, 2025) – Onvo, a Northeast Pennsylvania-based travel plaza chain, proudly celebrated the grand opening of the TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Pottsville with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and tour on November 13. Members of the Schuylkill Chamber of Commerce, Onvo leadership and local community partners joined to commemorate this milestone moment in Onvo’s continued expansion across Pennsylvania.

The 111-room, all-suite, extended-stay hotel offers guests a modern experience just off Exit 119 on I-81 – combining comfort, convenience, and local hospitality. Located in the heart of Highridge Industrial Park, the hotel provides easy access to major distribution centers as well as downtown Pottsville, the Yuengling Brewery tour, area wedding venues, and other regional attractions – making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Onvo’s investment in the community was also displayed through a couple of donation announcements. Onvo presented a check for $2,500 to the local AMVETS to support their Gordon Memorial Park project. They donated an additional $2,500 to support Cass Township.

The hotel which will create 30 additional jobs and is part of a larger development by the company which includes a flagship Onvo travel plaza, which opened in 2024. The travel plaza features a modern convenience store, Burger King, showers, laundry facilities, Onvo’s “Food on the Fly” made-to-order menu, handcrafted coffee program, and the area’s first Barking Lot dog park. Together, the plaza and hotel create a one-stop travel destination where visitors can fuel up, refresh, and rest – all in one convenient location.

Kicking off year two as the Official Travel Plaza Sponsor of Penn State Athletics, Onvo is launching its “Game Day Ritual” campaign to make Onvo a must-stop for Nittany Lion fans during the 2025-2026 season.

The “Game Day Ritual” campaign invites fans to incorporate Onvo into their game day traditions, from fueling up their cars to stocking up on favorite snacks and drinks on the way to Happy Valley. Fans will see the campaign in-store, on social and digital channels, and featured in-venue at Penn State athletics games.

This year, Onvo has teamed up with four standout Pennsylvania athletes through a Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) partnership. Football players Keon Wylie and Dominic DeLuca, women’s lacrosse player Maggie Golder, and track & field runner Ashley Pines will showcase their own game day rituals through videos on their social channels, amplified with paid media support from Onvo – all highlighting how Onvo fits into their pre-game routines.

Onvo, the travel plaza chain based in Scranton, PA, has partnered with Playfly Sports to become the Official Travel Plaza Sponsor of Penn State Football.  The partnership between the two organizations is effective starting with the 2024-25 football season.

Onvo is now serving the community of East Stroudsburg with the company’s first Onvo-branded gas location. Guests are familiar with seeing the Onvo name on our convenience stores and diesel canopies, but this location marks Onvo’s first foray into serving passenger vehicles with an Onvo fueling experience that is catered specifically to gas customers.

Onvo – East Stroudsburg is located on Route 209 in East Stroudsburg at 4998 Milford Rd, East Stroudsburg, PA 18302. The location now accepts Onvo Rewards, so customers can receive discounts on their fuel and earn hoots on their purchases in store.

This marks an exciting new chapter for Onvo, and it allows us to bring the quality and service customers associate with Onvo out to the gas pumps.

Today, Onvo launches a new loyalty program called Onvo Rewards. The new program, designed in conjunction with Paytronix, launches with a new Onvo app, available on both Apple and Android devices.

Customers who sign up for Onvo Rewards will earn points, or Hoots, on each in-store purchase which they can then put towards rewards including free food, drinks, snacks, or fuel discounts. All customers who register for Onvo Rewards will receive a welcome reward of 10¢ off per gallon of gas, up to 20 gallons, every time they fill up for the first month of their membership.

In early November, we acquired the Rainbow Pit Stop in Bethel, PA. And as of today, December 10th, we’ve acquired the AMBEST Super Stop travel plazas in Fultonville, NY and Canaan, NY. The travel plazas in Canaan and Fultonville respectively mark the third and fourth Onvo locations in upstate New York.

The Fultonville travel plaza, formerly known as the Fultonville AMBEST Super Stop, is located at Exit 28 on I-90 in New York and offers 24/7 services including diesel, showers, laundry and dining. This location will remain a part of the AMBEST network.

The Canaan travel plaza, formerly known as the Canaan AMBEST Super Stop, is located at Exit B3 on I-90, and offers 24/7 amenities including diesel, a CAT Scale, showers, and dining. This location will also remain a part of the AMBEST network.

Both travel plazas in Canaan and Fultonville have been rebranded to Mobil® stations.

The Bethel Travel Plaza, formerly known as Rainbow Pit Stop, is located at Exit 13 on I-78 and offers amenities including diesel. This location, currently a Valero®, will be rebranded as a Sunoco® station, and it will also be joining the AMBEST network.

All locations are set to be extensively remodeled in the near future.
