July 20, 2026

The regional travel plaza chain thanks local heroes with complimentary beverages and community celebrations.

SCRANTON, PA (July 20, 2026)Onvo, the Scranton-based travel plaza chain, is celebrating 24/7 Day by giving back to the police officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel who keep our communities safe around the clock. On Friday, July 24, all first responders in uniform or with a valid ID can grab a free coffee or fountain drink of any size at any Onvo location across Pennsylvania and New York.

The initiative is part of National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) 24/7 Day, celebrating the role convenience stores play in providing essential goods and services to communities all day, every day. Whether fueling emergency crews during overnight shifts or providing a quick meal between calls, convenience stores are often an essential stop for first responders.

“Every day, first responders rely on us for a quick cup of coffee, a meal between calls, or a place to recharge,” said Harman Aulakh, vice president of marketing at Onvo. “We’re honored to be a small part of their daily routine. 24/7 Day gives us the perfect opportunity to return the favor and show our deep appreciation for the communities we both serve.”

The celebration also comes alive with a free, family-friendly Touch-a-Truck event at Onvo’s Dorrance, PA location. Community members are invited to meet local heroes, tour a fire truck, and learn about fire safety.
